This Honma Beres 08 Aizu set includes 8 clubs (5-SW) with the entry-level 2 Star ARMRQ MX shafts. Shaft weight is 41.5g, low kickpoint, torque 4.95. Stainless steel heads in multicolor, right-handed. Grip weight 36g. Swing weight: #5-11 at C1, SW at C2. Made in Japan. A more affordable way to get a complete Honma iron set.
Our take
The 2 Star version is the most budget-friendly Honma set. The 8 clubs from 5 to SW give you a full iron range. The shafts are still light and have a low kickpoint for easy launch. However, the higher torque (4.95) means less stability on off-center hits. The grips are tiny and the multicolor heads might not appeal to everyone. For the price, it's a good entry into Honma, but you can feel the downgrade from the 3 or 4 Star.
